All courses are approved for Texas acupuncturist CAEs for acupuncturist continuing education credit towards license renewal. This fulfills Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiner requirements towards CAE (CEU) credits. Texas acupuncturists are required to complete 17 hours of continuing acupuncture education every year. Acupuncturists must complete 8 general hours, 1 ethics hour, 2 herbal hours, and 1 biomedicine hour of CAE credit annually.

The Texas Medical Board (Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners) offers flexibility if you have extra CAE hours. If you obtain more continuing education hours than you need, you may forward those hours to your next certification period. The Texas Medical Board notes, "A licensee may carry forward CAE hours earned prior to an annual registration report which are in excess of the 17-hour annual requirement and such excess hours may be applied to the following years' requirements. A maximum of 34 total excess hours may be carried forward."
