License Renewal Requirements
Healthcare Medicine Institute (HealthCMI) Florida Provider Number: 50-8697. All completed courses are credited to CE Broker (Infomation Systems of Florida) to fulfill Florida Board of Acupuncture requirements.
Florida acupuncture license renewal requires acupuncturists to complete 30 continuing education credit hours every two years. At HealthCMI, all acupuncture continuing education courses are Florida Acupuncture Board, NCCAOM, and California Acupuncture Board approved for acupuncture license credit.
Florida acupuncture license renewal requires acupuncturists to complete their 30 hours of continuing education credit by meeting minimum hourly requirements for special topics:
Special topics for Florida acupuncture continuing education:
2 hours of continuing education on “Medical Errors.”
2 hours of continuing education on “HIV-AIDS.”
2 hours of continuing education on “Laws & Rules.”
5 hours of continuing education on “Laboratory Test Findings.”
3 hours of continuing educaiton on “Imaging Findings.”
16 hours of continuing education may be “General Hours.”
Acupuncture licensees do not need to complete continuing education hours during the first two years that they are licensed but must complete continuing education hours every years thereafter to renew their acupuncture licenses.
All continuing education hours for Florida acupuncture license renewal must be earned within the two year period relevant to the acupuncture license renewal.
Acupuncture license renewals may take 2-3 weeks.
