HealthCMi is an official Texas acupuncture continuing education provider (CAE Provider #00014). Download a course, take the online quiz, and receive a certificate of completion online INSTANTLY. All courses are approved for Texas acupuncturist CAEs for acupuncturist continuing education credit towards license renewal. This fulfills Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiner requirements towards CAE (CEU) credits. As an official Texas CAE Provider, all acupuncturist continuing education requirements can be fulfilled at HealthCMi.

Texas acupuncturists are required to complete 17 hours of continuing acupuncture education every year. CAEs are counted from December 1st to November 30th. The 17 hours must include include a minimum of the following hours:

  • 4 hours in general acupuncture therapies
  • 2 hours in ethics and safety
  • 3 hours in herbology
  • 2 hours of biomedicine
  • 2 hours in business practices or office administration

The Texas Medical Board (Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners) offers flexibility if you have extra CAE hours. If you obtain more continuing education hours than you need, you may forward those hours to your next certification period. The Texas Medical Board notes, "A licensee may carry forward CAE hours earned prior to an annual registration report which are in excess of the 17-hour annual requirement and such excess hours may be applied to the following years' requirements. A maximum of 34 total excess hours may be carried forward."
